If you haven’t been, then now might be a good time to dust off your kicks and come out to Kitchener’s Counterpoint Brewing Co. It’s an intimate place with delicious, local craft beer and amazing taste in music! You don’t have to be a craft beer enthusiast if you’re just looking for a fun time out! We’ll be there playing our original music for your enjoyment. GRAVEN (Matty McKechnie) is an independent folk-rock singer-songwriter from Ottawa, Canada. An innovative Nepean-born songmaker with a key focus on cultivating joy and wonder in Canadian geography, Matty (Graven) is a wiley wordsmith whose passion is to create a highly accepting and inclusive community of music lovers. Toronto-based singer-songwriter and guitarist, Stephen Stanley may most immediately be known as a founding member, lead guitarist and vocalist with acclaimed, early 90’s alt-rock band, The Lowest of the Low. He’s assembled a collection of trusted players and has gone on to log monumental shows with the likes of, 54•40, Bob Mould, Cracker, Lee Ann Womak, Jake Clemons, Willie Nile, The Jayhawks, and Lloyd Cole. He’s played festival stages in Germany, and toured across the UK and Ireland. Stephen performs with raw, unflinching urgency, steadfast observation and soul-searching storytelling that highlights his immediate world: those he loves, and those he’s lost. Counterpoint Brewing Co has 6 beers on tap and offers snack, but no meals. Enjoy our beer during the show, and take some cans to go. From Lagers to IPAs to Saisons, you’ll find something! Non-alcoholic beverages also available.URL:https://explorewaterloo.ca/event/graven-stephen-stanley-live-at-counterpoint-brewing/
